Seven new species of Discomycetes, based on material collected in Czechoslovakia, are described: Calycellina chalarae, Chlorosplenium hyperici-maculati, Cistella citrinescens, Hymenoscyphus caeruleo-annulatus, Hymenoscyphus sclerotigerus, Incrupilella carpini and Orbilia aranea.

abstract
Five new species of Discomycetes according to the material collected in Czechoslovakia are described: Hymenoscyphus diabasicus, Hymenoscyphus duschekiae, Mollisia biberi, Parorbiliopsis salicis and Psilocistella parca. Six new combinations are proposed: Hymenoscyphus autumnalis, Parorbiliopsis samarae, Pezizella sterochraceus, Protounguicularia vandae, Psilachnum cotoneastris, Psilachnum laeve. Four species (three new for Bohemia) are discussed: Bryoscyphus marchantiae, Geoglossum fallax, Gorgoniceps boltonii, Ploettnera exigua.

Ten species of Discomycetes were studied: one new genus, Isosoma, for Ombrophila carnosa Vel. is proposed, two new species, Hymenoscyphus ravus and Mollisia olivaceo-cinerea, are described, four new combinations are proposed (Belonidium badium, Coronellaria aberrans, Discocistella rudolphi, Isosoma carnosum), and four species are discussed (Hymenoscyphus peruni, Lanzia aesculi, Muscicola dubia and Peziza bovina), mostly based on new collections.

Ten new species of Discomycetes according to the material collected in Czechoslovakia are described: Arachnopeziza depauperata, Belonidium lizonii, Hymenoscyphus angustisporus, Lachnum tenuipilosum, Mollisia polytrichicola, Mollisia potentillae-erectae, Pseudombrophila fettneri, Sclerotinia atrostipitata, Unguicularia aconiti, Unguicularia iridia. One new genus Niveostoma for Dasyscypha leucostoma Rehm is proposed. Full microscopic and macroscopic descriptions are given.

Two new genera, Calyptellopsis (typified by Hyaloscypha reticulata) and Incrupilella (typified by I. flexipila sp. nov.), are described along with ten new species of discomycetes and six new combinations. These fungi exhibit unique morphological features such as conspicuously reticulate discs or piliform hairs on apothecia, and their ecology spans from buried twigs to forest litter.

Three new species of Helotiales from Czechoslovakia are described: Hymenoscyphus salmanovicensis and Mollisia psilopezioides from Southern Bohemia, and Mollisia lacunarum from High Tatra Mountains, Slovakia. A new name Peziza subretincola nom. nov., is proposed for Peziza retincola (Velen.) Svr. (non Peziza retincola Rabenh.).

Five new species of Discomycetes from Czechoslovakia and German Democratic Republic are described: Coprobia pileiformis, Coronellaria benkertii, Haglundia magnipilosa, Hymenoscyphus rhytidiadelphi and Hysterostegiella zelendarkensis. The new records of Haglundia perelegans and H. sarmentorum from Bohemia are discussed.

abstract
Boubínský prales virgin forest is the best-preserved montane Picea-Fagus-Abies forest in the Czech Republic. Its core area (46.67 ha), grown with original montane forest never cut nor managed by foresters, has been protected since 1858. It represents the centre of the present-day nature reserve (685.87 ha). A detailed inventory of its fungal diversity was carried out in 2013–2014. Ten segments differing in habitat and naturalness were studied (235 ha). The total number of species was 659, with the centre of diversity in the core area (503 species) followed by the neighbouring segments grown by natural forests minimally influenced by man. When literature and herbarium data are added, the total diversity reaches a total of 792 taxa. The locality represents a unique refugium for some borealmontane fungi (e.g. Amylocystis lapponica, Laurilia sulcata, Pholiota subochracea), a high number of rare species preferring old-growth forests (Antrodia crassa, A. sitchensis, Baeospora myriadophylla, Chrysomphalina chrysophylla, Fomitopsis rosea, Ionomidotis irregularis, Junghuhnia collabens, Skeletocutis odora, S. stellae, Tatraea dumbirensis), wood-inhabiting and mycorrhizal fungi confined to Abies (Panellus violaceofulvus, Phellinus pouzarii, Pseudoplectania melaena, Lactarius albocarneus), and a high number of indicators of well-preserved Fagus forests (e.g.Climacodon septentrionalis, Flammulaster limulatus, Pholiota squarrosoides). Several very rare fungi are present, e.g. Chromosera cyanophylla, Cystoderma subvinaceum and Pseudorhizina sphaerospora. The value of the local mycobiota is further emphasised by the high number of protected and Red List species. Comparison with other Central European old-growth forests has confirmed that Boubínský prales is a mycological hotspot of European importance.

abstract
A European record of Hymenoscyphus dearnessii is published for the first time. The species was collected in the Czech Republic on dead stems of Reynoutria sachalinensis. It is described and briefly compared with other large-spored Hymenoscyphus species growing on herbs.

abstract
Attempts to isolate the ascomycete Hydnotrya tulasnei from fresh hypogeous sporocarps into a pure culture yielded beside H. tulasnei also a strain of Meliniomyces variabilis (MVA-2). Both phenotype and genotype analyses showed that MVA-2 was highly similar to another M. variabilis strain, isolated previously from a root tip of Picea abies. The mycorrhizal potential of both H. tulasnei and M.variabilis is still dubious. Therefore, we tried an in vitro synthesis of root-fungus association between H. tulasnei, both M. variabilis strains and typically ectomycorrhizal (P. abies and Pinus sylvestris) and typically ericoid mycorrhizal (Vaccinium corymbosum) host plants. For comparison, a strain of Rhizoscyphus ericae was included. Both M. variabilis strains formed intracellular structures characteristic of ericoid mycorrhiza in V. corymbosum roots, and also colonised the roots of P. abies and P.sylvestris seedlings, modifying their morphology. Superficially, Picea and Pinus root tips resembled early stages of EcM development, but transversal sections revealed absence of the Hartig net and frequent intracellular colonisation of the cortex. The reference strain of R. ericae showed similar behaviour in Picea, Pinus and Vaccinium roots, only the intracellular colonisation was more intensive and morphology of roots of both conifers was less changed when compared to M. variabilis. H. tulasnei failed to colonise the roots of P. abies and V. corymbosum, possibly due to sub-optimal conditions for its growth.

The author presents the results of his revision of several mollisiaceous species described by J. Velenovský. Some of these are seen as good species and are combined into Mollisia: M. ladae comb.nov., M. peruni comb. nov., M. phragmitis comb. nov., M. velenovskyi nom. nov. Tapesia sesleriae is seen as a nomen dubium and Mollisia sesleriae ss. Krieglsteiner (1999) is therefore described as M. lothariana spec. nov.

Selected material of lignicolous species of the genusLachnum from the Czech Republic was studied. Lachnum impudicum and Lachnum subvirgineum (nom.prov.) are published for the first time from the Czech Republic. These taxa were not distinguished in earlier Czech literature. Lachnum crataegi, Lachnum corylinum, Lachnum fasciculare, Lachnum fulvellum and Lachnum piceum are lectotypified here. Lachnum fulvellum is a synonym of Lachnum fasciculare, and Lachnum piceum of Lachnum pygmaeum. Lachnum impudicum as well as Lachnum corylinum are close (possibly synonyms) to Lachnum pubescens (type specimen of L.pubescens examined).Lachnum crataegi is close to Lachnum fasciculare. One specimen from authentic material of Lachnum grande is designated alectotype and Lachnum grande is synonymised with Lachnum pygmaeum. Lachnum pygmaeum was found to be avariable taxon. In the studied set of material, lignicolous specimens of Lachnum pygmaeum show wider and somewhat more protruding paraphyses than non-lignicolous specimens. Lachnum rhizophilum seemed to be the earliest possible name for the non-lignicolous taxon (with asci arising from croziers). The type of Lachnum rhizophilum, however, is a fungus with asci arising from simple septa.

abstract
The mycoflora of cultural (artificial and managed subnatural) forests (i.e. beech, spruce and mixed forests) was studied in 18 permanent plots in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts. and the adjacent part of the Vsetínské vrchy hills (Czech Republic) during they ears 1998-2000. Al together, 314 species of macromycetes were recorded. The highest number of species was recorded in plots in a young spruce forest on a former meadow (72 species ) and a waterlogged spruce forest (67 species ). Mycorrhizal fungi were the dominant group in older spruce forests (44.2 %), waterlogged spruce forests (43.3 %) and alder forest (45.6 %). A high percentage of terrestrial saprophytes was found in the young forest on a former meadow (43 %). Generally, common species prevailed.The main factor which influenced the species composition of all trophic groups was the composition of the tree layer. These results are compared with results from similar plots in the Czech Republic and neighbouring countries.

abstract
The results of mycocoenological studies carried out in calcicolous deciduous oak woods of central-southern Tuscany are reported. Comparison with there sults of studies in other for est ecosystems of the same area revealed exclusive differential species of deciduous oak woods and clarified the knowledge on mycocoenoses of central-southern Tuscany. The obtained in formation on individual species is also useful for understanding the relatively unexplored field of the ecology of macrofungi.

abstract
The authors have studied Bresadola’s type material of Omphalia kalchbrenneri Bres. from Italy as well as fresh and dried herbarium specimens from Bohemian and Moravian localities. After studying the material and perusal of the literature, the conclusion was reached that fungi described by various authors as Omphalia kalchbrenneri Bres., Agaricus compressipes Peck and Omphalia graveolens Sev. Petersen are conspecific and the correct name for this fungus is Pseudoomphalina kalchbrenneri (Bres.) Sing. In the Czech Republic, this rare species is known from only six localities.

In the second part of this report (see part I in Čes. Mykol. 44:77–91, 1990) results of mycological excursions to the eastern part of the Krkonoše Mts. are presented. Fungi belonging to Gasteromycetes, Aphyllophorales s.l., Discomycetes, Pyrenomycetes, Uredinales, Deuteromycetes and Myxomycetes are included. Species are listed alphabetically with data on localities and altitudes. Noteworthy finds include Amanita battarrae, Conocybe microspora, Cortinarius castaneus, C. sertipes, Crepidotus cesatii, Cystoderma jasonis, Galerina pseudomniophila, Inocybe napipes, Lactarius aspideus, L. spinosulus, Mycena megaspora, Naucoria myosotis.

Eight new species of Discomycetes from Czechoslovakia are described: Aivenia aconiti, Aivenia calthae, Aivenia foliicola, Calycellina guttulifera, Calycellina sordido-pulvinata, Ciboria rava, Symphyosirinia chaerophylli, and Unguicularia verna. Five new combinations are proposed: Allophylaria filicum, A. campanuliformis, Calycellina lunispora, Conchatium durum, and Lachnum pubescens. Each taxon is provided with microscopic and macroscopic characteristics, typification, and detailed locality data.

Hyphoradulum conspicuum Pouz. gen. et spec. nov., a new resupinate basidiomycete related both to the genus Hypochnicium J. Erikss and the genus Radulomyces M. P. Christ, is described. The fungus is interesting also from the ecological point of view because it was collected on the margin of a very thermophilic oak forest of Quercus pubescens on a rocky calcareous southern slope.

In Switzerland the apparently rare discomycete Helotium geogenum Cooke was found. It was synonymized with Helotium longisporum Schweers on the basis of type material and transferred to the genus Phaeohelotium because of the structure of its ectal excipulum.

The author provides an overview of the fungal flora of the hill “Semická hůrka” (District of Nymburk) in central Polabí, covered by subxerophilous oak forest with fragments of the Querco-Carpinetum bohemicum community. On the southern slope, communities of the order Prunetalia mix with substitute communities from the Cirsio-Brachypodion pinnati alliance. The location is a notable site of thermophilic fungi in central Polabí. A proposal for protection of this site is attached.

102 species of fungi were collected in Hungary by the author during excursions at the time of the VII Congress of European Mycologists, Budapest 1978. The species collected belong to the following groups: Myxomycetes 8, Pyrenomycetes 18, Discomycetes 33, Teliomycetes 5, Hymenomycetes 21, Gasteromycetes 3, Coelomycetes 3, Hyphomycetes 11. All fungi were collected by the author, some by MUDr. Georgius Kubická. The dried specimens are deposited in the Mycological Herbarium of the National Museum in Prague.

The author gives a brief characterization of the territory in Western Slovakia around Brodské, Čáry, Gbely, Kopčany, Kúty, and Smolinské, and enumerates the fungi species found there between 1963 and 1977. Some rare species are highlighted: Hydnellum spongiosipes, Lepista graveolens, Leucopaxillus tricolor, Amanita rubescens f. annulo-sulfurea, and Leccinum thalassinum. A new combination Lepista graveolens (Peck) Dermek is proposed.

abstract
The authors report on higher fungi of the Žofínský Virgin Forest near Nové Hrady in Southern Bohemia, the oldest forest reserve in Bohemia. Covering 97 ha at 740–830 m elevation, the forest contains mostly Fagus silvatica, Abies alba, and Picea excelsa. During two excursions, 227 species of higher fungi were collected: 131 Agaricales, 67 Aphyllophorales, 17 Discomycetes, 12 Pyrenomycetes, and 10 Myxomycetes. One new species, Collybia terginoides, and one new variety, Paxillus panuoides var. rubrosquamulosus, are described. Three species were reclassified. New species for Bohemia are marked with an asterisk.
