  abstract   The known distribution of Geastrum pouzarii V. J. Staněk is discussed. Until now it is recorded only in Central and Northern Bohemia. The collections published as G. pouzarii from the German Democratic Republic (Dörfelt 1976) and Spain (Calonge 1981) are, according to the revision of the herbarium material made by V. J. Staněk, Z. Pouzar and the author of this paper in 1976 and 1982, identical with the allied species G. campestre Morg. Because for almost 30 years after the description G. pouzarii has not been found outside Bohemia (where it is known from 15 localities), it is possible to consider it meanwhile as a fungus endemic to Bohemia.

  abstract   The article lists new localities of Geastrum hungaricum, G. minimum, G. pouzarii, G. recolligens, G. striatum, G. triplex, Lycoperdon echinatum, Mutinus caninus, and Tulostoma fimbriatum in the Bohemian Central Highlands and lower Ohře region, with brief notes on their ecology.

  abstract   This study is devoted to the distribution, phenology, and ecology of Geastrum pouzarii V. J. Staněk, a species described 16 years ago and currently known only from 12 localities in Bohemia, mainly in Central Bohemia, predominantly on basic eruptive rocks. The limited number of known localities suggests that the species is endemic to this region.

  abstract   The paper reports on the occurrence of Phaeoclavulina clavarioides and P. roellinii in dry grasslands of rock steppes in the Czech Republic. Occurrence in this habitat is characteristic of both species, formerly considered members of the genus Ramaria, and they are apparently the only known representatives within the Gomphales with this ecology in Central Europe. The authors present macro- and microscopic descriptions and provide rDNA barcode sequence data for both species based on material collected at localities in Bohemia.

  abstract   Sixteen species of gasteromycetes were identified in 50-year old collections from Cuba, including five species new to this island. The species Calvatia cyathiformis, Clathrus columnatus, Clathrus crispus, Cyathus limbatus, Diplocystis wrightii, Rhizopogon sp., Scleroderma tenerum and Tulostoma floridanum had already been reported from Cuba, whereas Disciseda hyalothrix and Lycogalopsis solmsii represent new records for this country. Six species belong to the genus Geastrum, of which G. pectinatum agg., G. schweinitzii agg. and G. velutinum agg. were already known from Cuba, but three species, G. corollinum, G. kotlabae and G. trichiferum, are new to the Cuban mycobiota. Each species is provided with a brief description followed by taxonomic notes, and distribution.
