  abstract   Results of sporulation study and some other new information on the biology of five selected polypores are given. The polypores are Antrodia heteromorpha, Antrodia serialis, Fomitopsis pinicola, Osmoporus odoratus, Skeletocutis amorphus, all growing in ČSR on Norway spruce. These results were gained in the years 1980–84 on representative localities in regions near Dobříš and Rožmitál p. Třemšínem (Central Bohemia). Possible use of results in forest practice is discussed.
