Five species of the section Lactiferae (Heim 1931) with a strong aromatic fruit smell reminiscent of rotting pears or of jasmine and hyacinth blossoms are thoroughly described from fresh material gathered by the authors or obtained from others. These are: Inocybe pyriodora (Pers. ex Fr.) Kummer, I. incarnata Bresadola, I. erinaceomorpha Stangl et Veselský sp. nov., I. corydalina Quélet, and I. tricolor Kühner. The authors have examined the original descriptions and attempted to resolve some nomenclatural problems.
