Talaromyces vermiculatus (Dang.) Benj. was isolated from timber in the disused uranium mine Jeroným in Jáchymov. This is the first report of the species in Czechoslovakia. Cultures were grown on various media, and the fungus formed yellow-orange to pinkish-beige felty colonies with small cleistothecia. Mycelium showed average hyphal diameter of 2.17 µm.
