The authors independently (Stangl in Augsburg, FRG, and Veselský in Ostrava, Czechoslovakia) conducted long-term mycocoenological studies in urban parks and reclaimed industrial sites, respectively. They report on several rare species of the genus Inocybe based on repeated collections and thorough examinations, including the description of a new species, Inocybe brunneo-rufa sp. nov.
