The slime mold Lamproderma sauteri Rost., not previously recorded in Czechoslovakia, was found in large quantities near Horní Maršov in June 1962, especially on young ash trees and other decaying plant materials. The description includes sporangia characteristics and ecological context. The author supports its recognition as an independent species rather than a variety.
