A new species, Fimaria porcina, is described from pig manure near Třeboň in South Bohemia. It has brick-red apothecia that turn brown with age and small spores. The species was found in large numbers in spring after rain, appearing rapidly and disappearing the next day, suggesting a highly sensitive fruiting cycle.
