abstract
Specimens of Agaricus bernardii (Quél.) Sacc., collected by the author on July 7, 1971, in northern Mongolia at the western foothills of the Khentey Mountains (ca. 1500 m), are described and illustrated in color. This species, described from Western Europe and typically growing in saline coastal meadows, was also found on saline soils in Hungary. The Mongolian material matches Western European specimens and confirms the presence of the species in steppe habitats. It has not yet been found in Czechoslovakia. A previously misidentified illustration from Bohemia actually represents Agaricus squamuliferus var. caroli. Vasilkov’s concept of A. bernardii likely refers to a collective species encompassing relatives from section Agaricus (= Sect. Campestres).
KOTLABA F. (1969): The relative dates of publications for the genus Agaricus. Česká Mykologie 23(1): 37-44 (published: 1969)
abstract
The present paper establishes the dates of availability for works (Imbach, Konrad et Maublanc, Müller, Pilát, Singer), published in 1946 and especially in 1951–1952, in which transfers are made from Psalliota to Agaricus. The author arrived at these dates chiefly by studying the records in archives, correspondence with the publishers and inquiring in libraries, when they received the legal deposit copies. This is of special importance where different authors made the same transfers.
PILÁT A. (1965): Agarici deylii Pilát nova localitas in Bohemia. Česká Mykologie 19(1): 52 (published: 1965)
abstract
The author reports a third Bohemian locality for Agaricus deylii Pilát, based on a single fruitbody found near Prague in 1964. This rare species differs from Agaricus benešii by red coloration on cutting, shorter thicker stipe, and larger spores.
