  abstract   A Cuban strain of Stigmatomyces limnophorae Thaxter was studied on Limnophora arcuata. Its morphology closely resembles S. sarcophagae, later synonymized with S. limnophorae. Ascospores, ascus structure, and multiple stalks with radicoids from successive generations are described.
