abstract
Seven of the rarer species of the genus Septoria are mentioned, most of them were collected in Western Bohemia. Septoria wilsonii Clinton was first found in Europe; it is a North American species. Also its host plant is a new one (Chelone barbata Cav.).

abstract
Descriptions are given for fifteen species of the genus Septoria, mostly new for Czechoslovakia and Central Europe. S. adanensis from Asia and S. rhabdocarpa from North America are reported in Europe for the first time. The paper discusses taxonomic distinctions and similarities with genera such as Phyllosticta and Ascochyta.
