  abstract   Species referred to Plicaria Fuckel in Britain are considered and a key provided for their identification. One of them, Peziza radula Berk, et Broome, the lectotype of Plicariella (Sacc.) Rehm, proves congeneric with Peziza scabrosa Cooke, the type of Scabropezia Dissinget Pfister. Plicariella (Sacc.) Rehm therefore provides an earlier name for Scabropezia.
