abstract
Octospora wrightii (Berk. et Curt.) J. Moravec, a rare operculate discomycete, is reported from Slovakia and Moravia. A full description of apothecia and microscopic features is provided. The species was found growing on Amblystegium serpens in bryophyte communities in high-montane habitats. Differences in spore ornamentation and measurements are noted between localities.
