  abstract   The author discusses the little-known morel species Morchella pragensis Smotlacha 1952, originally described with two forms: f. mirabilis and f. turriformis. Based on his own collections from Mladá Boleslav, the author justifies the taxonomic validity of the species and proposes a solution in accordance with nomenclatural rules, offering clarification where the original diagnosis was ambiguous.
