  abstract   A new genus Luciotrichus, related to the setose genera of the Pyronemataceae Corda em. Korf, is proposed with Luciotrichus lasioboloides sp. nov. as the type species, collected in Spain on dead leaves of Pistacia and, incidentally, of Quercus.
