KOTLABA F., ZEHNÁLEK P. (2018): Sixteen gasteromycetes collected in Cuba 50 years ago [new records, Geastrum spp., taxonomy, nomenclature, distribution] Czech Mycology 70(2): 185-209 (published: 14th December, 2018)
abstract
Sixteen species of gasteromycetes were identified in 50-year old collections from Cuba, including five species new to this island. The species Calvatia cyathiformis, Clathrus columnatus, Clathrus crispus, Cyathus limbatus, Diplocystis wrightii, Rhizopogon sp., Scleroderma tenerum and Tulostoma floridanum had already been reported from Cuba, whereas Disciseda hyalothrix and Lycogalopsis solmsii represent new records for this country. Six species belong to the genus Geastrum, of which G. pectinatum agg., G. schweinitzii agg. and G. velutinum agg. were already known from Cuba, but three species, G. corollinum, G. kotlabae and G. trichiferum, are new to the Cuban mycobiota. Each species is provided with a brief description followed by taxonomic notes, and distribution.

KOTLABA F. (1970): A study of Geastrum pouzarii V. J. Staněk. Česká Mykologie 24(1): 21-31 (published: 15th January, 1970)
abstract
This study is devoted to the distribution, phenology, and ecology of Geastrum pouzarii V. J. Staněk, a species described 16 years ago and currently known only from 12 localities in Bohemia, mainly in Central Bohemia, predominantly on basic eruptive rocks. The limited number of known localities suggests that the species is endemic to this region.
KOTLABA F., PILÁT A. (1964): The Third European Mycological Congress, Scotland 1963. Česká Mykologie 18(1): 1-6 (published: 25th January, 1964)
abstract
The Third European Mycological Congress, held in Glasgow, Scotland, from September 1 to 13, 1963, was characterized by excellent organization and a friendly, informal atmosphere. More than 200 participants attended the Congress, which included lectures, laboratory work, excursions, and exhibitions. Although the exhibition of fungi was considered poor, the Congress contributed significantly to scientific exchange and cooperation among European mycologists.
