VAHEDI-DARMIYAN M.E., JAHANI M., MIRZAEE M.R., ASGARI B. (2017): A noteworthy record of endophytic Quambalaria cyanescens from Punica granatum in Iran. [endophyte, flower, pomegranate, Quambalariaceae.] Czech Mycology 69(2): 113-123 (published: 26th July, 2017)
abstract
During an investigation into endophytic fungi associated with pomegranate in the South Khorasan Province of Iran, 2015–2016, five isolates were recovered with the morphological and molecular characteristics of Quambalaria cyanescens. The present study is the first fully documented report of Q. cyanescens from Iran, providing insight into its geographic distribution and host range. Our study is also the first report of occurrence of Q. cyanescens as an endophyte in a member of the Lythraceae family.

JUHÁSOVÁ G. (1980): Konidienkeimung des Pilzes Melanconis modonia Tul. Beim Edelkastanienbaum. Česká Mykologie 34(3): 152-157 (published: 1980)
abstract
In Zemberovce (Forstbetrieb Pukanec) the occurrence of Melanconis modonia Tul. was recorded in 1974 on dried trunks and branches of Castanea sativa with symptoms of ink disease. In the following years the species was found in all monitored locations of Castanea sativa in Slovakia. To gain basic data on the biology of this species, part of the author's work programme focused on studying the effect of temperature, relative humidity, and nutrient media on the germination of conidia.
PRÁŠIL K., ŠAŠEK V., URBAN Z. (1974): Isolation and cultivation of some stromatic lignicolous Pyrenomycetes. II. Diaporthales. Česká Mykologie 28(1): 1-18 (published: 5th February, 1974)
abstract
Eleven species of Diaporthaceae (order Diaporthales) were studied in pure culture. The development of their morphology and the influence of temperature on their growth were examined. Conidial stages were obtained for 10 species, six of them for the first time in culture. The importance of cultural studies for the taxonomy of this group of Pyrenomycetes is discussed.
