  abstract   New data on the occurrence of Taphrina betulae (Fuckel) Johanson and Taphrina betulina Rostr. on Betula pendula Roth, Betula pubescens Ehrh. and B. pubescens Ehrh. subsp. carpatica (Kit. ex Willd.) Aschers, et Graebn., till now unsufficiently known from the territory of Slovakia are presented. Brief characteristics on biology, ecology and distribution of the fungi as well as their host plants are given together with the ecological characteristics of their localities.
