abstract
Itajahya is a phalloid genus characterised by the presence of a calyptra, a sterile slightly wavy tissue which remains attached to the pseudostipe by a thin membrane. This paper presents macroscopic and microscopic features of immature and mature basidiomes of two species collected in northeastern Argentina, I. galericulata and I. rosea. Furthermore, we emphasise the contrast between the two species and also provide a comparative morphological analysis. Photographs of their development and illustrations of the basidia and basidiospores are included. This study reports the first record of Itajahya rosea for Argentina.

abstract
Applying a broad generic and a narrow species concept, the nearly cosmopolitic genus Phallus L.: Pers. sensu lato (incl. Dictyophora Desv., Aporophallus A. Möller, Itajahya A. Möller, Echinophallus P. Henn. and Endophallus Zang et R.H. Petersen) is recognized with 31 species. The genus is articulated in 5 subgenera and 5 sections. Several new combinations, one new name are proposed.

abstract
A new record of Phallus duplicatus from Slovakia is reported, along with a summary of all known findings of this species in Czechoslovakia. The distinctive morphology of this stinkhorn fungus, its habitat, and geographical distribution are discussed. Historical finds from Bohemia and Moravia are also listed, as well as the newly documented 1986 find in the Veľká Fatra mountains.
