KOTLABA F. (1987): Cystostereum murraii (Corticiaceae), its ecology and geographical distribution in Czechoslovakia.Česká Mykologie 41(3): 129-138 (published: 10th August, 1987) abstractCystostereum murraii grows in Czechoslovakia predominantly as a saprophyte on silver fir (Abies alba), accounting for 75.8% of records, and more rarely on spruce and exceptionally on beech. It is mostly found on old fallen trunks, with 42.6% of known sites located in the montane belt (800–1100 m). A total of 68 localities are known (24 in Bohemia, 15 in Moravia, and 29 in Slovakia). The decline of fir has led to a decrease in records over the past two decades.
