  abstract   The paper reports on the first collections of Queletia mirabilis in the Czech Republic, supplemented with photographs of fresh fruitbodies. The authors present a macro- and microscopic description of this species based on a study of material collected at a locality in North Bohemia. Ecology and distribution of this very rare gasteroid fungus are summarised and potential confusion with similar species is discussed.
