MORAVEC J. (1981): Boudiera caucasica sp. nov., a new species of operculate Discomycetes from Caucasus. Česká Mykologie 35(4): 189-191 (published: 1981)
abstract
Boudiera caucasica J. Moravec sp. nov. is described according to a single collection from Caucasus (Gruzia, USSR). The new species is compared to closely related species of the genus Boudiera Cooke. Apothecia hemisphaerical, then discoid to pulvinate, solitary or gregarious, up to 3.5 mm in diam. (according to dried specimens), violet-black. Excipulum poorly developed, cells globose to subglobose, 8—19 µm in diam., towards the outside becoming elongated to pyriform, with hyaline, hyphoid, septate hairs 5—11 µm broad. Paraphyses filiform, straight, hyaline, septate below, apex enlarged (10—19.5 µm) with a light-brown content. Asci clavate, 240—310 × 32—40 µm, hyaline, amyloid, eight-spored. Ascospores first biseriate then uniseriate, at maturity with one globule, hyaline, irregularly densely or sparsely spinose, globose, 21—23 µm diam. (without spines), 26—31 µm (with spines).
