  abstract   Epizootic fungi Aegeritella superficialis and Aegeritella tuberculata (Hyphomycetales, Blastosporae) were recorded in Czechoslovakia. Ant species Lasius distinguendus, L. rabaudi, and L. umbratus are reported for the first time as hosts of A. tuberculata. Morphological characteristics and cell differentiation in fungal growths on ants are described.
