Česká Mykologie 27(1): 35-41 (published: 1973) abstract Morphological characteristics of the conidiophore and conidia of the genus Acremoniella Sacc. are shown to be identical with those of Acremonium (Link ex Fr.) Fr. According to the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature, Acremonium is the valid name. Acremoniella atra Sacc. is regarded as a variety of Acremonium atrum Cda and described as a new variety.
