SETH H.K. (1969): Studies on the genus Chaetomium. V. Morphological studies. Česká Mykologie 23(2): 129-134 (published: 1969)
abstract
The perithecium development of fifteen species of Chaetomium has been studied. The majority followed either the Chaetomium globosum or the C. brasiliense patterns of development, as described by Whiteside (1957). However, C. tenuissimum, C. torulosum, C. funicola and C. quadrangulatum were more variable and exhibited some features of C. globosum and some of C. brasiliense. Production of mycelial is not restricted to the C. brasiliense group. This indicates that Whiteside’s suggested division of the genus into two groups is not justifiable.

abstract
A survey of Chaetomium species in Wales resulted in the identification of eleven species, of which C. gracile, C. fusisporale and C. cuniculorum are new to the British records.
