KUTHAN J. (1992): Mycoflora of large-scale greenhouse plantation of salad cucumbers. Česká Mykologie 46(1-2): 1-32 (published: 1st April, 1993)
abstract
In the course of the years 1988–1991 the author used to visit large-scale greenhouses at Paskov near Ostrava (NE Moravia, Czechoslovakia) and surveyed not only the abundant growth of particularly higher fungi there, but in 1989 he tried to summarize the weight of biomass of the most frequent species. The results of the observation of biomass, frequency, abundance and phenology are presented in the tables. Altogether 95 macrofungi taxons, 1 species of Hyphomycetes and 1 species of Myxomycetes were recorded and they are given in the systematic summary, potentially with comments.

abstract

KUTHAN J. (1982): A new species of the genus Tricholoma: Tricholoma singeri spec. nova. Česká Mykologie 36(1): 7-10 (published: 1982)
abstract
Based on detailed study and own collections, the author concludes that Tricholoma maluvium in the sense of Bresadola is a separate species. It is described as Tricholoma singeri spec. nova, in honour of Prof. Dr. Rolf Singer. The name “Tricholoma maluvium (Fr.) Bres.” in the sense of Fries is shown to be dubious.

SINGER R., KUTHAN J. (1980): Comparison of some lignicolous white-spored American agarics with European species. Česká Mykologie 34(2): 57-73 (published: 15th April, 1980)
abstract
Hypsizygus tessulatus (Bull. ex Fr.) Sing. is redescribed from American material and compared with some European data on this species. Description of three European species of the Hohenbuehelia petaloides group are provided and slight differences between European and American collections of H. petaloides are pointed out. It is suggested that a species typified by a Mexican collection, H. recedens spec. nov., may be part of Ricken’s concept of Pleurotus geogenius. H. portegna is described from both American and European collections and closely related species are discussed. Pseudoclitocybe beschidica spec. nov. is compared with European and American representatives of this genus. Since the type species of Nothopanus must be transferred to Pleurotus, the European representative of this genus has to be known (again) as Pleurocybella porrigens (Pers. ex Fr.) Sing.
KUTHAN J. (1977): Zwei interessante Pilzfunde im Untertagebau einer Kohlengrube. Česká Mykologie 31(3): 164-169 (published: 1977)
abstract
The fungus Flaviporus brownii (Humb. ex Steud.) Donk, widespread in the tropics, produces fruitbodies in temperate zones only in mines, greenhouses, and glass factories. Fruiting depends on extraordinary ecological conditions, especially constant temperature and high humidity. Another interesting finding was Psilopezia babingtonii (Berk.) Berk., collected in total darkness in a coal mine, where it lacked pigmentation. This pale form is considered an ecotype of the typical brown form.
SINGER R., KUTHAN J. (1976): Notes on Boletes. Česká Mykologie 30(3-4): 143-155 (published: 1976)
abstract
Mycorrhizal associations of boletes and Gomphidiaceae in the High Tatra Mountains are discussed, focusing on those linked with Pinus mugo and P. cembra. Taxonomic and morphological notes on Boletus erythropus ssp. erythropus and ssp. discolor are given, along with description of a new species, Xerocomus flavus.

abstract
During two collecting trips in a thermophilous frondose wood "Zlodějský háj" near Starý Poddvorov in southern Moravia a find of an interesting Boletus of the group of Boletus erythropus (Fr. ex Fr.) Krombh. has been made. This fungus is described below by the authors as a new subspecies of the mentioned Boletus erythropus.
KUTHAN J. (1975): Der Gitterpilz - Clathrus ruber Mich. ex Pers. in der Tschechoslowakei. Česká Mykologie 29(4): 205-207 (published: 1975)
abstract
Although previously reported in the literature, the occurrence of Clathrus ruber in Czechoslovakia was not confirmed until the author's collection in 1974 in a thermophilic oak-hornbeam forest in central Slovakia. This site was proposed for protection as the first fungal nature reserve in the country. The species' distribution and earlier reports are discussed.

abstract
The author surveys records of Chroogomphus helveticus (Sing.) Mos. in Czechoslovakia, a rare species initially described as a variety of Gomphidius viscidus by A. Pilát in 1926. Later recognized as a distinct species, its taxonomy is clarified based on new and herbarium specimens. Comparisons with similar species from Europe and Asia are included.
KUTHAN J., ŠEDIVÝ J. (1971): Pulveroboletus lignicola (Kallenb.) Pil. in der Tschechoslowakei. Česká Mykologie 25(3): 135-139 (published: 1971)
abstract
In September 1966, the authors independently collected specimens of the rare bolete Pulveroboletus lignicola (Kallenb.) Pil. at two ecologically distinct locations. This species, previously known in Europe from only a few sites, had not yet been published from Czechoslovakia, although reportedly collected there. No further collections were made over the next three years. However, abundant finds in 1970 enabled detailed study and documentation of this species. The paper provides information on the collections, their identification, and the confirmation by Dr. H. Haas. The morphological features and habitat characteristics are also discussed.
VESELSKÝ J., KUTHAN J. (1969): Tricholoma radotinense Pilát et Charvát ex Pilát et Ušák. Česká Mykologie 23(2): 115-117 (published: 1969)
abstract
The species Tricholoma radotinense Pilát et Charvát ex Pilát et Ušák 1959 was first described by Pilát and Charvát in 1950 under the provisional name Tricholoma guernisaci Crouan, and later validly renamed in 1959. The species, though good and well defined, remains unrecognized in global mycological literature. The authors report two new localities from western Slovakia, confirm the identity of herbarium specimens, and provide a detailed Latin diagnosis.
