JANITOR A., VIZÁROVÁ G. (1994): Production of abscisic acid and cytokinins in static liquid culture by Schizophyllum commune. [production abscisic acid, cytokinins, static liquid culture, Schizophyllum commune Fr.] Czech Mycology 47(4): 293-302 (published: 16th February, 1995)
abstract
The superficialcultivation of fungus Schizophyllum commune Fr. in static liquid cultures showed production of abscisic acid - type inhibitor (ABA) and isopentyl - adenine type cytokinins (2iP) by this fungus. The analyses were done after 28 days of cultivation.
JANITOR A. (1977): Effect of light quality on the growth of the mycelium and the formation of thefructification organs in the fungus Cytospora cincta Sacc. Česká Mykologie 31(3): 155-163 (published: 1977)
abstract
The study shows that the phytopathogenic fungus Cytospora cincta Sacc. is indifferent to the action of total visible light during mycelial growth. Its photosensitivity changes significantly under different wavelengths. The strongest effects were observed in the blue and red regions of the spectrum. The formation of mycelium and pycnidia varies depending on the quality of the irradiation.
JANITOR A. (1975): Effect of ultraviolet radiation on the germination of conidia and the growth of the fungus Erysiphe graminis f. sp. hordei Marchal in course of its ontogenic development. Česká Mykologie 29(1): 35-45 (published: 1975)
abstract
The effect of UV radiation on the germination of conidia and the growth of Erysiphe graminis f. sp. hordei on barley was studied. UV radiation affected fungal vitality and reproduction capacity depending on the development stage. The most sensitive phase to radiation was identified, showing significant physiological impact during the asexual cycle of this common parasite.
JANITOR A. (1970): Influence of artificial radiation on the vegetative growth and the formation of the fruiting organs in Monilia fructigena (Pers. ex Pers.) Steud. Česká Mykologie 24(4): 198-206 (published: 29th October, 1970)
abstract
The influence of light on the development of phytopathogenic fungi is of considerable importance for phytopathological studies. In this paper, the qualitative influence of individual visible light spectra on the development of the fungus Monilia fructigena (Pers. ex Pers.) Steud. was investigated. The results have not only theoretical implications for pathogenicity but also practical applications. Most previous studies have focused only on quantitative aspects of light influence, while this work analyses the spectral quality of light in relation to germination, mycelial growth and fruiting.
abstract
The inhibitory effects of extracts and dense suspensions of Erysiphe graminis f. sp. hordei conidia on their own germination are studied. Findings suggest the presence of self-inhibitory substances released by the conidia, which may complicate in vitro cultivation of this obligate parasite.
JANITOR A. (1967): Der Einfluss einiger organischer Stoffe auf die Keimung von Konidien des Pilzes Erysiphe graminis f. sp. hordei Marchal. Česká Mykologie 21(1): 40-44 (published: 1967)
abstract
The study investigates the effect of various organic compounds on the germination of conidia of Erysiphe graminis f. sp. hordei in vitro. Vitamins and growth stimulators were tested to understand their role in obligate parasite cultivation. The results suggest that some compounds stimulate while others inhibit conidial germination.
