This article is a memorial sketch about Jeroným Šubrt, a pioneering mycologist and teacher from Louny, who passed away in 1940. It reviews his contributions to mycology in the region, including founding the “Free Association of Mushroom Gatherers” in 1929 and his organizational and taxonomic work.

abstract
An abnormal fruit body of Phallus impudicus L. with a secondary stalk-like growth was found in the Džbán forests near Ročov. The deformation originated in the egg stage and produced a long lateral outgrowth.
