abstract
In September 1966, the authors independently collected specimens of the rare bolete Pulveroboletus lignicola (Kallenb.) Pil. at two ecologically distinct locations. This species, previously known in Europe from only a few sites, had not yet been published from Czechoslovakia, although reportedly collected there. No further collections were made over the next three years. However, abundant finds in 1970 enabled detailed study and documentation of this species. The paper provides information on the collections, their identification, and the confirmation by Dr. H. Haas. The morphological features and habitat characteristics are also discussed.
