abstract
Blue UV-fluorescence was observed in renal tubuli of the kidney of the child, who died following the Cortinarius orellanus poisoning. Analogous changes were noted in the kidneys of experimentally intoxicated guinea pigs. The detection of the UV-fluorescence in renal tissues could be the key procedure besides the clinical, morphological and mycological findings helpful in the diagnosis of the intoxication with Cortinarius subg.
