abstract
Fifty five species of phytopathogenous micromycetes of the order Erysiphales from the followinggenerawere detected on investigated territory: Sphaero the ca (12 species), Podosphaera (4), Erysiphe (22), Blumeria (1), Microsphaera (10), Sawadaea (1), Uncinula (2), Phyllactinia (2) and Oidium (1). For individual species the biometric variability of conidia dimensions, cleistothecial diameter, ascus and ascospore dimensions are given. The detected species were parasitizing on 129 host plant species.

abstract
The distribution area of the fungus Tilletia controversa Kühn (dwarf bunt) and its host plants range in the Slovakian territory was studied. The mentioned fungus was detected on Triticum aestivum L. Elytrigia repens (L.) Desv. and on Elytrigia intermedia (Host.) Nevski. This contribution contains the basic morphological and ecophysiological characteristics of the fungus populations of infected plants. The fungus is wide-spread especially in central and eastern Slovakia. It was found on winter wheat stands at 777 locations (cadastral territories) and at 4 locations on species of the genus Elytrigia.

[Tilletia controversa Kühn, distribution, Slovakia, characteristics, winter wheat] Czech Mycology 47(1): 73-80 (published: 6th January, 1994)
abstract
Tilletia controversa is strongly distributed in the stands of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) in the eastern Slovakia. During the years 1957-1992 the fungus was found in 307 localities (com munes, cadastral territories) in 12 districts. Its occurrence was mostly abundant in the following districts: Bardejov, Humenné and Prešov. Lower occurrence was detected in districts: Svidník and Vranov nad Topľou, too. It occurrs also in the districts Rožňava, Košice, Trebišov, Poprad, Spišská Nová Ves, Stará Lubovňa, and Michalovce in some degree. The contribution contains the list of localities, years and intensity of its occurrence, morphologicaland ecophysiological characteristics of the chlamydospores of the fungus. The knowledge of T. controversa occurrence will contribute to increase efficiency of the protection of wheat against the cited pathogen.
PAULECH C., HERRERA S., FORNET E. (1993): Phytopathogenic micromycetes of the family Erysiphaceae distributed in Cuba. Česká Mykologie 46(3-4): 303-314 (published: 25th August, 1993)
abstract
The results of investigation of phytopathogenic micromycetes of the family Erysiphaceae occurring in phytocenoses of Cuba and Isla de la Juventud are summarized in this paper. They are dealing mainly with their host range, distribution and their morphological characteristics. Mentioned group of the fungi was detected on 78 plant species belonging to 62 genera and 16 families. They parasited mainly on species of the family Fabaceae (on 22 species from 13 genera) and Asteraceae (on 15 species from 14 genera), further on Euphorbiaceae (9 species from 6 genera), Malvaceae (6 species from 5 genera), Cucurbitaceae (4 species from 3 genera), Boraginaceae (3 species from 2 genera), as well as on species of the families Anacardiaceae, Balsaminaceae, Bixaceae, Brasicaceae, Caricaceae, Lythraceae. Rosaceae and Zygophyllaceae (only one species of the host plants). The fungi of the family Erysiphaceae occurred only in anamorphous stage. There is a growing tendency in the intensity of occurrence of mentioned group of micromycetes in Cuba. They are strongly parazitized by the mycoparasite Ampelomyces quisqualis Ces., too.

abstract
The paper deals with the ultrastructure of the conidia of powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis f. sp. hordei Marchal) using the freeze-etching technique. Cross fractures through whole conidia exposed the cell wall and faces of the plasma membrane bearing invaginations. In addition, structural details of the conidium internal organization were recognized. The nuclear membrane showed numerous pores scattered over the nuclear surface. Numerous mitochondria, small vesicles and glycogen accumulated along the conidium periphery. The results obtained with Erysiphe graminis conidia prove the advantages of the freeze-etching method over the conventional fixation procedures for fungal conidia.

abstract
In this paper, there are described two new localities (Malý Horeš, Malý Kamenec) of the fungus Tilletia controversa Kühn on dog’s grass (Elytrigia Desv.). Visual symptoms of attacked plants, the results of valuation of morphological and ecophysiological characteristics of its chlamydospores are presented. The both localities are situated in the southern part of Eastern Slovakia lowlands, which belongs to the warmest regions in Czechoslovakia. The fungus was recorded on Elytrigia repens (L.) Desv. and on E. intermedia (Host) Nevski subsp. intermedia and subsp. trichophora (Link.) Á. Love et D. Love. The determined characteristics of fungus populations in both localities are compared with characteristics of other fungus populations and with the population of the fungus T. caries (DC.) Tul.
