abstract
Alternaria pluriseptata was isolated from necrotic leaf spots of outdoor cucumbers in Bohemia. Artificial inoculations with conidia from agar cultures confirmed its pathogenicity. The species displays characteristics of Alternaria on the plant but produces Ulocladium-like conidia in culture, with decreasing pathogenicity over time.
