FRAGNER P., HEJZLAR J., RUBEŠ M. (1979): Otomycoses and mycoflora of otitides. Česká Mykologie 33(4): 229-236 (published: 1979)
abstract
Fungi were found in ear swabs of one third of patients with otitis; in about half of those cases they were considered pathogenic. Over 15 years, 472 cases were studied. The most common yeast species in otomycoses were Candida parapsilosis and C. albicans. Among Aspergillus species, A. fumigatus, A. flavus, and A. niger were most frequent. Clinical forms and treatment are briefly discussed.
