Česká Mykologie 33(4): 225-228 (published: 1979) abstract A Swiss collection of Helotium longisporum Schweers was studied and shown to be identical with Helotium geogenum Cooke. Based on the structure of the ectal excipulum, the species is transferred to the genus Phaeohelotium as Phaeohelotium geogenum comb. nov.
