abstract
Epicoccum purpurascens Ehrenb. ex Schlecht., a fungus with typical conidia in sporodochia and a sterile mycelium, was isolated from soils and plants including Phragmites, Hordeum, Medicago, and Trifolium. Its potential parasitism is noted, and sporulation was achieved after UV exposure on agar media.
