abstract
Five saprotrophic mitotic microfungi, Acrodontium salmoneum, Chaunopycnis alba, Cylindrocarpostylus gregarius, Dactylaria lanosa, and Trichoderma saturnisporum, were found during studies of micromycete diversity in the Šumava Mts., Krkonoše Mts., Krušné hory Mts., Prague and Jevany near Prague in the Czech Republic. The microfungi were isolated from soil, except Cylindrocarpostylus gregarius, which was found on bark, and Acrodontium salmoneum isolated from air, seeds and mites. Three of them had not yet been reported from the Czech Republic and are considered to be the first records for this country. Descriptions and illustrations are given. All the fungi are maintained in the Culture Collection of Fungi (CCF), Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague.

abstract
The virulence of selected strains of six nematophagous fungi on three species of phytopathogenic nematodes was evaluated, whereby differences in pathogenicity between the investigated fungal taxa were found. Arthrobotrys oligospora was the most pathogenic fungus to all three tested species of nematodes.

abstract
Lignicolous pyrenomycetes, their anamorphs and asexually reproducing Ascomycetes were investigated on deciduous and coniferous wood at 10 localities of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park (České Švýcarsko in Czech) during 2003–2005. A total number of 109 species was recorded, 11 species were found both as teleomorph and anamorph. Individual localities were evaluated from the viewpoint of Ascomycetes diversity. Ecological demands, relationship with the type of substratum, and microhabitat preferences were noted and several ecological groups are suggested. Rare and endangered species and factors affecting Ascomycetes diversity are discussed. Several species new to the Czech Republic were recorded, viz. Apiorhynchostoma altipetum, Camarops pugillus, Crassochaeta fusispora, Lophiotrema boreale, and Togniniella acerosa.

abstract
Pseudoanguillospora stricta is redescribed from the type, from ex-type culture and from new isolates. Pseudoanguillospora gracilis, Mycocentrospora clavata, and Mycocentrospora varians are illustrated from the type material. The generic concept of Pseudoanguillospora and Mycocentrospora and delimitation of both genera is discussed. Due to the scarcity of specimens, especially of living cultures available for study, no nomenclatural changes are proposed.

Part III: Concise information about species and varieties comprising remarks on occurrence and character of diseases in humans and animals, morphology of fungi in tissues and histopathological pictures. Examples include Histoplasma capsulatum var. capsulatum and its teleomorph Ajellomyces capsulatus.

abstract
Fifty nine species or varieties of lignicolous and other saprophytic Hyphomycetes belonging to 41 genera are recorded from Hungary. The majority of them are common species, occurring in Europe, however, previously unreported from Hungary. Some of rare and infrequent lignicolous Hyphomycetes were also collected.
